The Second SASH Co-production Session
At the end of October our Co-Production Group met at our office in Scarborough for our second session.
It was a lovely sunny day so perfect for our first activity of the day, planting autumn bulbs for spring time flowers! In an effort to increase biodiversity in our local area, we planted a mix of bulbs including crocus, tulips, daffodils and alliums to provide spring time flowers for pollinators like bees. We talked about the importance of bees to the eco system and how they are under threat so by planting flowers that they love, they will have plenty to pollinate come spring time. We also put out a bee hotel to provide some much needed shelter!
After a very well deserved lunch, the young people got to work reviewing some new information leaflets for our Nightstop service. Using their lived experience, the young people gave suggestions for improvements to the design, colours and wording to make them accessible and informative for young people who come into Nightstop in the future.
Our group will meet again in December where we will finalise the design for the new comfort bags for young people using the Nightstop service.
Stay tuned for that update!
