Young People Find Their Voice in Creative Writing Workshop with Former SASH Host
In February, SASH Young People had the exciting opportunity to take part in a creative writing workshop led by author, careers advisor, and former SASH Host, Jess Popplewell.
Jess, who recently released her latest book The Dark Within Us, drew inspiration from her own experiences of leaving home at 16. Using her story as a foundation, she guided our Young People through a three-stage writing session designed to help them discover their unique voice and develop their personal writing style.
Beyond the creative aspect, Jess also provided valuable career advice and guidance, sharing her insights on writing, publishing, and building a future in the creative industries.
We are incredibly grateful to Jess for traveling up from London to share her expertise and experiences with our Young People. Opportunities like this empower them to explore new skills, gain confidence, and consider future possibilities they may not have previously imagined.
