Join our eat drink give campaign!
eat drink give invites customers who are drinking or dining with you to support SASH’s work. Since launching in 2015, eat drink give has proved an easy way for local restaurants, cafés and bars to make a very real difference to local, young people facing homelessness.
How it works
There are various ways to be involved and eat drink give can be tailored to suit your business. Some examples are:
- Set up a VAT-free button on your till system and ask your guests if they would like to add a £1 donation onto their bill. – We will supply bill holders and if you wish signage for your tables that tell your guests about our work, that you have chosen to support SASH and that a voluntary £1 donation will be added to their bill.
- Create a special dish or drink and add a nominated amount to the sale price. This is then advertised on your menu or specials board as a ‘SASH donate’ item. Or add an ‘invisible’ item to your menu that customers can order and the proceeds from that item goes to SASH
Whichever way you choose, we will provide full support and supply information for your staff and guests.

By supporting SASH through eat drink give you will be joining other cafés, bars and restaurants across Yorkshire in helping to give local young people the chance of a better future.
Why it matters
Every year, we support many young people avoid homelessness. People like Katie who suddenly found herself homeless and did not know where to go for help. Thanks to our volunteers, we offer young people a safe place to stay in the home of a volunteer host as well as the support they need to resolve their problems.
